Black Lives Matter Playlist

Over the past several weeks, awareness of the social injustices many Black people face in America is at an all time high. Through countless reposts of information including petitions, videos, and history, many are being educated not only on police brutality, but how a country that was built on racism keeps this structure intact.

Artists have released songs describing these injustices. In their music, they speak on racism, police brutality, poverty, war on drugs, violence and how the criminal justice system disproportionately affects black communities. This playlist highlights these artists’ stories, their life experiences, frustrations, anger, appreciation for their complexion and hope for better days.
