French American Band Le Douze Release Their First Single “Fruits of My Life”

Le Douze is a groovy new French American band that consists of lead vocalist/drummer David Boutherre, Keyboardist Frédéric Scamps, and guitarist/producer Maxime Lebidois. This new and electric band may be the next one you will want to see at popular festivals like Desert Daze and Ohana Fest in the near future, as they have an infectious weathered groove infused with that California vibe that will get any crowd moving.

Their band name, ‘Le Douze,’ means twelve in English, and it represents a new cycle and a rebirth for the group, which ties in beautifully with the meaning behind their new single “Fruits of My Life”. Their main lyric “Picking up the fruits of my life, everything is feeling so fine” feels so intentional and filled with so much hope and excitement for the future and any new journey that may arise. Their lyrics, energy, and instrumentals are filled with positive vibes as well as a mix of pop, rock, and reggae.

This band has a genre-bending sound that can’t be categorized into a specific section. It’s a mix of many genres and is meant for people that like experimental music that defies labels. It’s meant for people that hate drawing within the lines and staying within one genre. If this sounds like you, then Le Douze is a band you should definitely check out. They have that feel-good music that’s charged with Maxime’s wavy guitar chords and Frédéric’s celestial keys. Let’s just say that if music had the ability to transport you to any location, their music would undoubtedly transport you to the most peaceful and tropical island you could imagine.

This band may be new to the scene, but they sure don’t sound like it. Le Douze is off to a great start with their new single, which will be released on August 17th, and is a sneak peek of their upcoming debut album, which will be released this fall. Their Spotify will also be going live as they release this new song so keep an eye out for that! If I worked at Spotify and had to fill in the “Fans also like” section for Le Douze I would say that they would be into bands like The Police, Stick Figure, and Dirty Heads. All I’m saying is that I’ve listened to “Fruits of My Life” a few times already and I love it more and more each time. I just love the dreamy guitar chords and carefree vibe of this song. It makes me want to go to the beach, blast this song, and dance with the waves.
