Abel Tesafaye aka The Weekend brings his “After Hours Til Dawn“ stadium tour to Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles for two back to back nights.

The Weeknd played all of the hits from “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Starboy,“ “Save Your Tears,“ and everything in between, ending the show with his biggest hit “Blinding Lights“ which turned the stadium into a massive dance party.

. . .

With at least one song from each of his eras, it made 30-song set list almost hitting the 2 hour mark. The Weeknd showed us why he has become one of the music stars, from his level of production, to his vocals. These elements are unlike anyone else, blending different genres together to create a sound that instantly makes you think of The Weeknd.

Legendary record producer Mike Dean opens up the show with a synth heavy set that immediately set the mood. Another producer is put into the mix with Kaytranada delivering a performance that is filled with dance tracks that had the crowd moving their bodies.

Kaytranada seamlessly transitioned from one track to another to create an enjoyable set leading up to The Weeknd. Right before The Weeknd takes the stage, a trailer for his upcoming HBO show “The Idol“ is shown and definitely keep your eyes open for its debut in 2023. The massive stage had a crumbled cityscape on one end, with a giant moon that hovers over the opposite side of the stage.

Dancers covered from head to toe with red sheared outfits fill the stage with their presence. As a “Alone Again“ from his 2020 album “After Hours“ begins, The Weeknd rises up from beneath the ashes of the city. Playing a majority of the songs from the last two albums, there were still some songs for the older fans sprinkled in between to make diverse set list that would make any Weeknd fan happy.

“The Hills“ and “Often“ from “The Beauty Behind the Madness“ were both hits and people went absolutely crazy for screaming at the top of their lungs while singing along to every single word. The Weeknd also featured a song of Drake’s first album “Crew Love“ which he was featured on sent the fans into excitement. The entire set was filled with these transitions that connected the songs together in a creative way that left no room for error.
