“The Student Debt” Short Film featured at “From Here On Out” Art Show At Black Umbrella

An Art Show Dedicated To Teens Coming Of Age

Curated by one of Nothing Mag’s very own, Mary Kim, “From Here On Out” was held at Black Umbrella Tattoo and Art Gallery on Main Street, Garden Grove on Monday January, 28th 2019.

Late last year, we spoke with owner, Kurtis Gibson, about how his is tattoo isn’t any ordinary tattoo shop. It’s also a place for local artists to come feature their work.

“What makes Black Umbrella different is the goals we have. The gallery was set up to reach the community – give a platform for artists to get their art out there.” – Kurtis Gibson, Black Umbrella Owner
