Fan Girl Cafe is one of the newest family-owned additions to West Hollywood, but it’s not your average cafe. It is a vibrant music-themed space, with pink walls covered in art and concert photography by local artists, a Gwen Stefani themed bathroom, and tastefully named food and drinks, like “ABBA-Cado” Toast.
Fan Girl Cafe’s main priority is to uplift the local community, and they achieve this by also operating outside of their business hours to host weekly events. This includes intimate live events like open mic nights, comedy shows, and musical performances that feature local musicians, offering them a platform to display their talents. The cafe also features artist collaborations and showcases a variety of artwork, giveaways, and merchandise from local artists. Additionally, Fan Girl Cafe strengthens community bonds through movie nights, karaoke sessions, and a monthly book club centered around music biographies and books by women.
Founders Betsey Martinez and Cynthia Temblador have put their heart and creativity into creating a welcoming space that brings people together with their love of all things music, coffee, food, and community. Fan Girl Cafe is dedicated to highlighting and supporting women, non-binary, and LGBTQ+ artists who are involved in the music scene, and stands as a haven exclusively crafted for music lovers. “We are dedicated to fostering a sense of community, where music lovers and artists can connect, learn, and grow together… In other words: A place to unabashedly be a Fan Girl.” – Fan Girl Cafe
