When you get ready for an underground rock show, do you ever just think about what you are going to wear or how you’ll stand out? It’s like deciding if you should bring a light jacket depending on how warm or how cold the weather is outside. On February 1, 2020 at the Observatory in Santa Ana, Blivet Bash was held; and let me tell you this, unique styles were seen from left to right. From bringing back safari prints to extreme, bright dyed hairstyles, Blivet Bash fashion is the epitome of flamboyance.
Entering Blivet Bash made me wonder if my sheered, vintage babydoll dress and my chunky Chelsea boots with black tights would make me fit in at the most. Hopefully it did. My point is, everyone who attended looked so lively and just simply rad. The fact that someone brought back Paul Frank was such a lovely nostalgic experience. Rocking crushed velvet is never easy, and I am so glad someone did that at Blivet Bash.
Now readers here is a tip, next time you go to a rock show, remember that vibrant colors with a little edge are a must. Another thing is chokers are in and layers are a go-to. Do not hesitate on adding a little spunk to your style because standing out in a crowd is how you get the lead singer of a band’s attention, or for that matter, maybe even Clairo’s attention. Learn from the photos below, you won’t regret it.
