NothingMagTV received a last-minute invite to the Tidal x Stony Hill event at Boulevard 3 to celebrate 4/20 Eve and the exclusive release of Damian Marley’s “Medication Remix” which features Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign can only be found on Tidal. Along with the release, the night was dedicated to celebrating Stephen ‘Ragga’ Marley’s Earthstrong Celebration (his birthday is on 4/20.)

The best part about the night is NothingMagTV had anticipated launching on 4/20 for months and this event happened to be the best way to celebrate the website’s launch. We knew a Tidal and Damian Marley event would be a big deal, but really had no idea what to expect. Yes, the event definitely exceeded our expectations. The performances with Damian, Stephen, and guests is what made the night. Their high-energy and positive vibes were contagious and vibrating through the room. Being up close, I could see the brothers laughing and having a good time. I was able to record some of their set on my phone. In the videos below, you’ll see Stephen Marley dropping freestyle rhymes with MC Supernatural and other guests over his track Rock Stone, as well as Damian Marley doing a classic of his, Welcome to Jamrock.
The next time NothingMagTV will see the Marleys will be at Kaya Fest on April 28th and 29th at the NOS Center in San Bernardino, CA. It’s going to be a historic event as Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, Ziggy Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, and Julian Marley join on stage together to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of their father, Bob Marley’s album Kaya.
Another honorable mention of Kaya Fest is Ms. Lauryn Hill who will be kicking off her world wide tour for the 20th Anniversary of her album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” at the festival. With acts from other big names like Cypress Hill, Chronixx, Action Bronson, SOJA, and Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine (who is performing on stage with the Marley Brothers.)
Kaya Fest will be a family affair for sure as third generation Marley’s, Skip Marley, JoMersa Marley, and Bambaata Marley will perform to be part of their grandfather’s tribute. Bambaata Marley had recently performed at the Garden Amp in Garden Grove and Skip Marley recently performed at Coachella 2018 as well as the Grammy’s with Katy Perry.
Certainly, with this kick-off… I’m excited to share more from what you’ll expect from NothingMag.TV. We have a ton of unreleased content in store.
So stay tuned guys! Wanna know what’s coming soon? NOTHING.
